Expansion cards are done except for the tortoise expansion set. Lili is currently rushing to complete her book and then going on vacation to celebrate her birthday. We should have the tortoise artwork from her shortly after.
We are very close on finalize the rulebook with the new two-player rules. It should be available in the next update. Shortly after that, expansion rules should be done as well.

Say Hello to Freya and Fawna PLUS Updates on Art and Cards
almost 3 years ago
– Tue, May 02, 2023 at 10:56:06 AM
Dear Friends,
Freya and Fawna are here! Well, pre-production sample that is :)
I was thrilled and happy because they are so cute. So glad we got them both, don't you agree?
It's still not too late to order them. If you are a backer, please check your pledge manager on Backerkit. For your friends and family, please use the link below to preorder :)
We are currently engaged in significant polishing efforts to enhance the visual appeal and usability of the cards. As part of these efforts, we have changed the font used for the numbers on the cards. Moreover, we have also introduced small kale icons in the scoring area of the kale cards to improve the overall user interface. These modifications will not only make the cards more visually appealing but also improve the user experience for our players.
The names of terrains are placed at the top to aid players in identifying and familiarizing themselves with the different types of terrain. Additionally, this feature is particularly helpful for visually impaired players, who can quickly recognize the terrain without relying on color and shape cues.
We are excited to announce the latest addition to the FORK family: the new fox! Although the new fox does not have a unique ability, we encourage our players to get creative and develop their own house rules to add an extra level of excitement and challenge to the game. With the new fox now part of the FORK family, we are confident that it will bring even more enjoyment to your gaming experience.
The Eagles are here! Featuring three majestic eagles that are the most powerful animals in the game. With their impressive strength and unique abilities, these eagles are sure to add a new level of excitement and strategy to your gameplay. Whether you are a seasoned player or new to FORK, the Eagle expansion is the perfect addition to take your gaming experience to new heights.
We have included four new terrain cards in all FORK games, each of which is the same size as the other cards. The addition of these cards serves two main purposes. Firstly, in a two-player game, the new terrain cards are particularly helpful in providing a more visually clear and distinctive representation of the terrain. More on the two-player rules in the next update. Secondly, when playing in a larger group, the larger-sized cards make it easier to identify the terrain at a glance. Rest assured that the original terrain card is still included in the game, so players can choose which card size they prefer to use.
MAY CONVENTION
I am heading to Kublacon in San Francisco, CA for Memorial weekend, with Freya and Fawna. I will be spending most of my time in the protospiel room, which is a great place to be if you enjoy testing out new games and meeting fellow gamers. If you are there, please drop by and say hello and have a great time at the event!
Thank you all for reading and hope you enjoy the rest of the week!

Pledge Manager and More :)
– Thu, Mar 23, 2023 at 02:18:39 PM
We have updates for you!
PLEDGE MANAGER
We sent the pledge manager access to you yesterday. You can confirm your Kickstarter pledge, enter your shipping address and pledge more add-ons. It will continue to be available to you until fulfillment happens. It's always best to complete it sooner than later. One, you won't forget. And two, you could help us unlock Braille FORK.
But if you didn't receive the pledge manager email, please let me know.
BRAILLE FORK
A test graphic file is sent to the manufacturer today. First, we want to make sure we are using the correct format before creating the entire set. Once it is approved, sample copies will be made. Hopefully, they will be shipped to me in May. One of the things I am going to do is visit local braille institutes and run playtest sessions. Will definitely keep everyone updated on it.
GAME RULES
We are revisiting two-player rules simply because we want FORK to be great. Thank you Cosmic Ben for helping me get started it.
Once done, we will create a new tutorial video and update it on the rulebook. If you are interested in participating in the two-player playtesting, please let me know. Doesn't matter where you are; we will figure out a time to play :)
To find me and playtest the new two-player game on Tabletopia, reply to this update, message me via Kickstarter, email me at [email protected], or find me on social media.
PLUSHIE
In the last update, we mentioned that we are making two fox plushies: Fawna and Freya. Earlier this week, five-sided design files were sent to the manufacturer, and they have begun to make samples for us. Hopefully, we will see some photos of them in two to three weeks.
Pins and Pre-order
Pins are in production already. They should be ready in another four weeks. Cannot wait to see them!
We have a pre-order store for FORK. If you have friends who want to order the game, please give them the URL.
Thank you so much for reading. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!

Fox Plushies Update
– Mon, Mar 13, 2023 at 09:36:13 PM
By early last week, our fox plushie came down to two designs: 2A and 2C.
2A
2C
In the final voting, 2A wins by three votes.
Well, the vote is very close. I also hate to disappoint and be the bearer of bad news. So ...
We will make both foxes. (Do I hear some YAY?)
We are currently working with a manufacturer to make a sample of both 2A and 2C. Keep in mind, these are concept designs. The plushies are not going to come out 100% the same as the drawing. Also, because we are doing a very low quantity production, the cost is high. MSRP is going to be $35 each.
So what's next for the plushies?
1 week to work on the bottom view and send it to the manufacturer.
Three weeks to receive photos of the first sample for both foxes.
Two to three weeks to make a couple of corrections.
Two weeks to receive the final simple.
Four to eight weeks for production.
Meanwhile, I got a name and background story for fox 2A and 2C from ChatGPT. What do you guys think? (Names are not final)
2A - Fawna
"Once upon a time, there was a little fox named Fawna. Fawna was different from the other foxes in her forest. While her friends were busy running around and playing, Fawna preferred to curl up in cozy spots and take long naps. She was always the last one to wake up in the morning and the first one to fall asleep at night.
One day, Fawna's forest was hit by a terrible storm. The wind howled, the rain poured down, and the trees swayed dangerously. Fawna was scared and didn't know what to do, so she found a safe place and curled up, closing her eyes tightly.
When the storm was over, Fawna peeked out from her hiding spot and saw that her forest was now a mess. Trees were uprooted, branches were scattered everywhere, and her friends were nowhere to be found. Fawna knew she had to do something to help.
So, even though she was sleepy, Fawna bravely ventured out into the forest. She searched high and low until she found her friends, all of whom were lost and frightened. Fawna led them back to safety, using her sharp senses to guide them through the storm damage.
From that day on, Fawna's friends appreciated her more than ever. They realized that her sleepy demeanor belied a strong and brave heart. To honor Fawna's courage and devotion, they made her a plush toy in her likeness, complete with sleepy eyes and a cozy pose. And that is how your sleepy fox plushy came to be!"
2C Jasper
Once upon a time, there was a little fox named Jasper. Jasper was unlike any other fox in his forest. He had the biggest, brightest eyes and the sharpest, most attentive ears of all the animals around. He was always curious, always watching, always listening.
One day, Jasper's forest was threatened by a group of hunters. The animals were terrified, but Jasper refused to sit idly by. He used his keen senses to gather information about the hunters and their plans, and then he bravely set out to warn his friends.
Jasper darted through the forest, dodging trees and leaping over bushes. He was quick and agile, and his big eyes and sharp ears helped him avoid danger at every turn. He warned the other animals and led them to safety, making sure everyone was accounted for.
The hunters arrived in the forest, but they found no animals to hunt. Jasper and his friends had all disappeared into the safety of the woods. The hunters eventually gave up and left, never to return.
To thank Jasper for his bravery and quick thinking, the animals in the forest made him a plush toy in his likeness. His big eyes and sharp ears were carefully crafted, as were his agile limbs and bushy tail. Jasper was touched by their kindness and grateful for their friendship. And that is how your fox plushy with big eyes and sharp ears came to be!
